Has your travel group or SIG offered learning vacations or one day trips in the past only to have the trip cancel due to low enrollment? Consider co-sponsoring an event with other LLIs. Below is an example of joint programming conducted by OLLI Northwestern, OLLI at the University of Illinois and OLLI at Bradley gauging interest in their joint event.
Joint events not only help with enrollment numbers, they provide LLIs with the opportunity for additional social interaction and exchange of ideas.

Your Input is Needed About an OLLI Trip

We have a unique opportunity for a new learning trip in August!

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Krzysztof Urbanski, will present an "All-Russian Evening" concert at Ravinia on the evening of Thursday, August 10.

Ravinia is an internationally renowned music festival in Highland Park that presents more than 140 concerts each summer.

Our OLLI, along with OLLI at Northwestern and OLLI at the University of Illinois, would like to plan a joint learning trip to the August 10 concert.

Members of all three OLLIs would be seated together in the pavilion and enjoy a group dinner before the concert. A price point has not yet been determined, but the cost would include charter coach transportation, meal, concert tickets, and snacks.

The directors of each OLLI need to gauge interest in the event before reserving tickets.

Please let us know if this is something you'd be interested in attending by clicking on the survey link below - just one question, yes or no.

Please answer the survey by May 3 at 9 a.m. Depending on the response from each OLLI, we may announce details and registration information for this "pop up" trip in mid-May.

We're so excited about this opportunity to meet with our OLLI friends from Illinois for a wonderful evening. Thank you in advance for participating in this very brief survey.
